The ADHD diagnosis process involves three sessions. Here are the steps in that process:
Initial screening using the DSM-5 Diagnostic criteria to determine if symptoms are present to indicate the possibility of ADHD.
In-depth interview with the individual and the people knowledgeable about the individual suspected of having ADHD to establish a history of symptoms.
Completion of a bio-psycho-social assessment.
Rating Scales will be completed by the individual, parents, teachers, caregivers, and other people familiar with the individual.
Final meeting to review the assessment results and report.
ADHD counseling is available upon diagnosis at the regular session rate. If you need more extensive or additional treatment, a referral will be made.
