The music playlists consist of three playlist options. The Adult playlist is a mix of rock, pop, and country. The Child playlist consists primarily of Disney soundtracks and is intended to appeal to children. The Classical Flow playlist consists of classical music. If you have experienced trauma and feel that song lyrics could be triggering to you, the Classical Flow playlist may be a better option for you.
Because all playlists incorporate sounds at the frequencies that train the middle ear muscles and are filtered in the same way, patients can choose whichever playlist they would like to use for the duration of their program.
The filtration of each hour is different. In most cases, it is best to approach gradually at the pace set by your counselor. Each hour has to be listened to in order.
The first hour of SSP Core is intended to be calming and settling to your nervous system. The second hour prepares your nervous system for the higher levels of filtration that hours 3-5 have.
The music sometimes sounds funny, and sometimes it will sound very quiet. When it gets quiet, keep listening, and it will eventually get louder. Do not adjust the volume on the device after you've started your session for the day.
